Study On The Problem Of Supporting The Elderly In Rural Zhuang

With China’s rapidly aging society become the consensus of everyone, elderly supporting problem become the focus of the attention. In Guangxi rural areas, economic development is relatively backward, aging degree is pretty higher and labor outflow. These makes elderly supporting situation particularly serious. Zhuang is a relatively closed historical glorious nationality, and relatively closed agricultural people, By the influence of Buluotuo culture and Dulao regime of Zhuang, the elderly of Zhuang are more dependent on the elderly support from family members. However, under the Contradiction of more people and less land, a lot of labors have to moving out of village for pursuiting higher life quality. At the same time, Zhuang traditional moral concept is under the impact of modern utilitarianism. There have been some unhealthy tendencies in society. The status of rural elderly is declining. Elderly supporting quality gradually reduce.Ban Village is a typical Zhuang village. The author based on literature research and field research methods, after collecting all kinds of literature about the Zhuang people in Guangxi and Ban Village, The author get to Ban Village to observe and the interview old people, Awareness of Ban Village old man’s life status. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyzed elderly supporting situation in Ban Village. This research can provide references for the thinking of countermeasures about minority areas elderly supporting. This research is also Helpful to enrich research of elderly supporting problems.The first chapter of this paper is introduction, mainly discusses the research purpose and meaning, then review the related literatures. In the end of this chapter, the theoretical basis and research methods of this paper has been introduced.The second chapter of this paper describes the research site at first, and then on the basis of summarizing information from the investigation, And found that three factors including land worship, ancestor worship and the filial piety culture has the close relation to the behaviours of elderly supporting. The third chapter mainly discusses the present situation and problems of the Zhuang rural elderly supporting. Through the described about living conditions of the elderly in Ban Village, including residential environment, economic conditions, social intercourse status, health and recreation. Found there are problems about elderly supporting in Ban Village. Including too many work pressure, the dependence on children is too strong, lack of scientific knowledge of health and spiritual solace.The fourth chapter, the author analysed the causes of elderly supporting problems in Ban Village. The problems are mainly caused by the five aspects of reasons. Including reduction of family size, the traditional concept is weakened, low cultural level of the elderly and social resources declining in Ban Village.The fifth chapter discusses the solutions of elderly supporting problem in Ban Village. Under the guidance of the social capital theory, the author put forward four countermeasures to mining village social capital inside and outside Ban village. Including constructing rural elderly community organization, reshape Zhuang elderly supporting traditional culture, continue to give full play to the important role of family supporting and access to the external social resources support. Providing convenience for the elderly in daily life, using the advantage of community care model to make up the weakening of family pension mode, solve the supporting problem in Ban Village.This study is on the basis of field research and literature research, in the the perspective of social capital theory, described the elderly supporting problems in Ban Village, analysis the cause of these problems, put forward some countermeasures with reference significance. Enrich the study of the rural elderly supporting issues about Zhuang.
