China is an agricultural country and we must rely on the countryside to build a socialist democracy. Villagers Autonomy came into being under certain circumstance, not because of the foundation of the Republic of China. China has gone through lots of autonomous system, starting from the agrarian Revolution to lasting exploration of revolution, development and control to the countryside in China. In1998, the "Village Committee Organization Law" was promulgated, marking that the Chinese villagers’ autonomy entered a new era. The contemporary theory of villagers Autonomy is relatively advanced and its core value is democratic election, democratic decision making, democratic management and democratic supervision of the villagers and Villagers’ self-management, self-education and self-service.This paper does the research of Dianzi village, Tashui, Jianyang, Sichuan province and Liangyuan village, Furong, Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, focusing on the status of Villagers Autonomy, villagers participation in autonomy, their democratic consciousness and legal awareness etc, which provides you with the comparative analysis of some of the problems of Chinese local Villagers Autonomy.As to the current problems of villagers autonomy in China, lots of measures have to be done, such as enhancing the villagers’ awareness of the concept of democracy and the rule of law, solving villagers’ current practical problems, including selective tilt national policy, coordinating regional economy, legal and cultural development and other ways, in addition, the strategy of learning from other countries can also be adopted. The purpose of those measures is to try to create a more comprehensive mode of villagers’ autonomy.
