Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping’s cadre education thought is a kind ofideological system, which is in the absorption of Marxism-Leninism’s cadre educationideology and the essence of Chinese traditional culture, combined with Chinese concretepractice and practical requirements. Deng Xiaoping’s cadre education thought is theinheritance and development of Mao Zedong’s cadre education thought in the new era.Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping’s cadre education thought is a precious wealth ofChinese Communist Party, which has the very important guiding significance to thecurrent cadre education.The basic content of Mao Zedong’s cadre education thought includes: emphasizingMarxism theory education, paying attention to the priority of cadre education,concentrating on solving practical problems of Chinese revolution, insisting onstandarding for ability and virtue, for red and expert. The basic content of DengXiaoping’s cadre education thought includes: attaching great importance to theeducation of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong’s thought, emphasizing theimportance of cadre education, clearing the overall direction and guiding ideology ofcadre education in the new era, putting forward the "four modernizations" of cadreeducation goals. Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping’s cadre education thought are thesame strain of the origin. They have a series of same points: the theoretical sources, thepractical characteristics, the starting point and fundamental purpose, the principle ofcadre education, the ways and methods of cadre education. However, due to their cadreeducation thought formed in the different background and personal traits, they also haveobvious differences: the specific targets in cadre training, the content and the form ofcadre education.Comparing the similarities and differences between Mao Zedong’s cadre education and Deng Xiaoping’s is to know the important value. The theoretical values of theircadre education thought mainly include: enriching and developing Marxism-Leninism’scadre education thought, building the main body of cadre education of the ChineseCommunist Party, providing valuable experience for the current cadre education. Thepractical values include: helping to promote the cadre team construction, the learningparty construction, Anti-Corruption construction under the new situation.
