Research On Rural Old-age Issues Of China

Our country is a large agricultural country, regardless of the number of agriculturalpopulation or the agricultural population proportion of total population are among thehighest in the world. With the phenomenon of the aging of the population in rural areasincreased, the rural demand for pension of the old in China is increasing. At present, themajority of the rural elderly in China rely on family pension, but because our country isin the transition period of social economy, the urban and rural dual economicdevelopment mode makes the widening of the income of China’s rural and urbanresidents, the level of economic development is still backward in rural areas and farmersused for pension spending has brought a heavy economic burden to the family, so seriouspension problems in the majority of our rural areas are suffering the test. The problem ofrural pension is of great significance, which related to whether the farmers can enjoytheir old age and which is also an important factor to affect the construction of a newsocialist countryside, build a socialist harmonious society and speed up thecomprehensive well-off society, therefore, our country must pay more attention to solve itas soon as possible.This paper has four parts：The first part introduces the purpose, significance, research status at home andabroad, research methods and innovation points of this paper and writing difficulties.The second part discusses the related theory of the pension problem in China andthe important significance to solve the problem of rural pension. This part explains themeaning of the aging of the population and the rural pension, and introduces Marx’stheory basis for establishing the rural pension insurance system in China, and analyzesthe significance of solving the problem of rural pension to build a socialist harmonioussociety in china.The third part mainly analyzes the present situation of China’s rural endowment, notonly summarizes the achievements in the rural pension in China, but also analyzes theproblem of rural pension in our country and the causes of the problems. Based on thispart, it explains the urgency to solve the problem of rural pension in our country, but also foreshadowing the fourth part puts forward the related countermeasure to come.The fourth part of this paper not only analyzes the valuable experience of the ruralpension insurance system in western developed countries, but also puts forwardcountermeasure suggestions in accordance to China’s rural pension problem.
