The first20years of the21st century for China is important time with many strategic opportunities, all types of major construction projects especially major transportation projects play a key role in building a prosperous society in a higher level course. At the same time, the sudden mass incidents caused by major transportation construction projects attracted the concern of the community. Based on the study of previous scholars in the field, this paper takes the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the main research methods, and it solves the problem of inaccurate outcomes typically. Finally, it will provide a reference for a system of scientific and reasonable risk assessment methods for major transportation projects of social stability.In this paper, it takes the social stability risks of economic field in major transportation projects as the starting point and the object of study, the use of a specific combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, from the local to the social stability risk analysis of major transport projects were elaborated, and then draw more scientific material social stability risk assessment of traffic engineering in the economic field, overcoming assessment usually inaccurate problems, and provide a reference for the final proposed a scientific and reasonable major transportation projects of social stability risk assessment methods. Therefore, it is significant.Studies of assessing social stability risks of economic field in major transportation projects is an elaborate social scientific assessment methods and feasibility of the core, in order to accurately assess the realistic conclusion oriented, and requires a combination of huge concrete traffic engineering major investment scale, impact significance reaching their characteristic series of systematic work, the entire study with theory and practice using complementary qualitative and quantitative research and combining global and local features of unity. This paper is divided into five parts. Firstly, there is an overview of the basic concepts related. Secondly, we can see a clear mechanism to explain the risks. Finally, it shows the risk factors for the economy to start the detailed analysis and explanation. The third part is the introduction of research methods, including principles and models elaborated on AHP. Then, the fourth part is about the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process Method for major transportation projects in the field of economic and social stability risk assessment, in which takes the Chengdu Metro Line10as an example. The fifth part is a summary of the full text, with the spirit of academic inquiry attitude, it reveals the limitations of the study and outlook of follow-up studies.In this paper, economic sectors in social stability risk assessment is the focus of major traffic engineering assessment studies, and the key areas of research is to improve the risk assessment results to be objective and rationalizing, by combining economics and assess school of professional thinking system, it can effectively solve the economic assessment of the risks of the research process difficulties and problems, so we will overcome the economic stability of imperfections in the past risk assessment, so as to ensure maximum stability of major transport projects economic risk assessment of scientific objectivity, finally, we solve problems caused by the economic sphere risk group events from the source and maintain social stability.
