Since twenty-first century, the economy and the comprehensive national strength arebooming in China, especially its national defense strength is greatly improved. However, there also will be a lot of problems. During the period of Social transition, theestablishment of military system is deeply reformed. A soldier should not only bear theheavy pressure from both the theory study and training task under the modern militaryinnovation, which is the use of high-tech equipment, the learning of professionalknowledge, military training of more special operations, but also assume the responsibilityof protecting the motherland and the people, the social moral pressure, earthquake reliefand so on. In addition, they should take on the stress from family material life andemotion…..A huge psychological pressure of our army officers and soldiers are caused byall of these factors, which not only affects the quality of the officers and soldiers’ life, butalso give rise to discipline, accident or crime, the more serious is to reduce theeffectiveness of military activities and the army’s combat effectiveness. Therefore, Chinesescholars put more attention on analyzing and researching the factors leaded to mental stressof military personnel, try to propose countermeasures to ease mental stress of militarypersonnel.Based on the mental stress of military personnel factors analysis of relevant literatureand transactional model, this paper build a mental stress of military personnel factor model. From three different factors of work, life and emotion point of view, this paper gives asystematic analysis on mental stress influencing factors in military personnel. The factorswill be summed up as follows: the work stress factors including Personal Development,Military Circumstance and Military training; the life stress factors including EmploymentStress, Economic Stress, Marriage&Family; the emotion stress factors includingInterpersonal Relationship, Role Ambiguity and support of society. To verify the above theoretical model, the paper designs the measuring scale andconducts a pilot survey (193valid samples). Then, the scale has been modified andimproved. This paper mainly makes military personnel in the Beijing Military AreaCommand of PLA as a sample (372formal and valid questionnaires), and makes use ofstatistical software of SPSS17.0and LISREL8.70to analyze the data. In the data analysis, this paper has conducted a descriptive statistical analysis, reliability testing, validity testing, factor analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis.According to the research, finding the main reason as follows: Personal Development,Military Circumstance, Military training, Economic Stress, Marriage&Family,Interpersonal Relationship, Role Ambiguity and support of society. In order to releasepressure and avoid discipline, accident or the occurrence of crime, developing a system fortesting mental stress of military personnel based on the questionnaire, which can testmental health of military personnel in time and conveniently, find out problems timely andput forward effective solutions. The system is helpful to release the pressure and avoiddiscipline, accident or crime.
