Study On The Role Of Government In The Construction Of Social Credit System

Honesty is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. The construction of socialcredit system reflects the inherent requirements of the socialist core values, are thecontent and characteristics of harmonious society construction. However, with thecontinuous development of China`s “Opening-up” reform, traditional credibilitysituation has been changed，social trust lacks and moral standards decline. Thissituation, has seriously affected people`s daily life as well as the further developmentof economy and society. Social credit system needs to be established. As the publicadministrator, government plays an important role in the construction of social creditsystem. At present, the construction of social credit system has made some progress,but still backward. The role of government in the construction of social credit systemis significant.In this paper, the methods which consist of literature analysis, case study andcomparative analysis will be used as research method. Accordingly, the “theoreticalexplanation-situation analysis-proposed measures” logical thinking map will alsobe used to to analyze the role of government in the construction of social creditsystem. A case study of Suining county will also provided. Then, based on the lessonsfrom Western countries practice in construction, the countermeasures and suggestionsfor China ’s social credit system construction from the perspective of the governmentrole will be given. In the end, an conclusion can be drawn: The government is theleader of the social credit system construction, playing a guiding role. To optimize andimprove the government’s leading role in the construction of social credit systemneeds to combine China’s national conditions, including the implementation of socialintegrity and moral education, the construction of credit government and the legalconstruction of social credit.
