With the processing of ageing, pension is becoming an issue concerned by all circlesof communities in China. As an essential way, elder-caring organization has beenexplored by the scholars in recent years. The elder will confront several inevitably whenleaving from home and entering into organization, which seriously affects the quality ofhis or her life.This article has started with probing into the concept of living adapting, summarizedfrom the earlier researchesand clarifiedliving adapting should contain three aspects ofdimensionalities which are physiological adaptation, psychological adjustment andinterpersonal relationship adaptation. This study is committed to exploring the affect ofcasework for living adapting of the elder. It has concluded that factors impacting theelder’s adapting of elder-caring organizations including the elderly themselves, theirfriends and relativities, other elders, the staffs and circumstance of the organization. Thisstudy combined the ecological system theory to make detail analysis for the personalitiesof systems related to the study cases and the current impact to the living adapting. Thisstudy adopted the method of casework, used the task central model as a work model andworked through recovering the balance between the study case and all the relatedsystems to archive a better promotion of living adapting for the study cases.This study proceeded in the elder-caring center of the provincial Rongjun hospital,and where the studied object was introduced from. The study showed that leaving fromthe long-term living environment could lead to living adaption problem and social workintervention could effectively help the elderly to adapt to life in the elder-caringorganization.
