The subject of online anti-corruption intrigued the government and public since a fewyears ago, and has been increasingly captured expectations. Based on this, the paperattempted to explain the causes and motivations of anti-corruption behavior by accessingto the internet.As briefing, after specifying definitions to the online anti-corruption from differentaspects, the paper controlled for the social and technology background to highlight thesignificant change to the public communication method as well as the accessing to theinformation. Furthermore, the thesis presented how the netizen, media and governmentfacilitated/blocked the emergence of online anti-corruption. Case studies has beenintroduced and discussed to interpret the cooperative game among the three involvedforces.All in conclusion, this paper provided a comprehensive analysis on the causes ofonline anti-corruption, the foundation on predicting further development of thisphenomenon, and the strategy to improve the efficiency of anti-corruption through theutilization of internet.
