National Image is in relation to the identity of domestic public andalso international influence and reputation. That’s why communication ofNational Image are so valued by China’ s decision-making level andacademia all the times. After literature review, I have a deep understandingof National Image. On the basis of The understanding of this theory,Ianalyzed the two appeals of shaping National Image: raise awareness andform reputation.After using Case Analysis Method, take the story ofChina’s new first lady as example,I found the reason why China’s newfirst lady are so popular and how a political figure improving China’simage. I used the interdisciplinary approach in this paper.Firstly, I use theview of communication to research politics and diplomatic; Secondly, Itake marketing theory into National Image research. At last, got theconclusions: Event Marketing and Soft Communication is a inspirationto the innovate of communication ideal and strategy. Compared with theHard Communication such as National publicity film, the SoftCommunication such as the popular of China’s new first lady are worthy topay more attention.
