These years,the research on national image became an academic focus.It is the total knowledge and evaluation of one country for the audiences home and abroad.The national image is a part of the soft power for a country,and influences its both international status and the ability to set agenda and solve problems in the world.The media plays a key role in building the national image,which function of international communication improves the national image during daily programs that express their own opinions and take a stand.This dissertation summarizes the development of Chinese medias' international communication,it could be found that over the past 40 years of opening up,Chinese medias had excellent achievements in both traditional media and new media.Meanwhile,the dissertation points out that there are some aspects for Chinese medias to be improved.To build an appropriate national image of China,the medias are expected to explore the new idea and practice fitting in with the new era of international communications.
