Corruption is a sensitive and difficult issue in the course of political development of contemporary China. 30 years after Reform and Opening-up, China has created a myth of economy, at the same time, corruption has become a serious topic that the Chinese government and people have to face.Statistics show that the outbreak of Chinese corruption problems happened in the aftermath of the reform of economic system in 1978 when China entered the period of social transformation. After then, the depth and breadth of Chinese corruption problems increased heavily, and deteriorated in the last ten years. In July 1, 2011, Jintao Hu cautioned heavily in the speech of celebrating the 90 anniversary of the Communist Party of China: "The anti-corruption situation is still severe, the task is still arduous. If corruption is not punished effectively, the Party will lose the trust and support of the people. " To promote the construction of Corruption Punishment and to prevention system comprehensively are the political task of the Party and the responsibility of the whole society, and it must be planed and promoted within the overall work of the Party and the whole country, the politburo, said August,2013. All these show that, anti-corruption is the most important thing in the development of Chinese politics. To solve the problem fundamentally requires us to see the essence through the phenomenon and analysis it in multi dimensions.This article contains six parts as follow:The first part expounds the background and significance of topic, research status of this issue at home and abroad, and the research method of this article.The second part defines the connotation of social transition period, and points out the main characteristics of the period.The third part analyses the phenomenon of corruption since Chinese economic reform, and points out the corruption not only damages the environment of economic development, weak the ruling ability of the party, disrupt social stability, but also hamper China’s socialist modernization.The fourth part describes the cause of corruption from three aspects: the power structure and interests change caused by market economy, there are defects in the system of the party and the state, adverse social and historical cultural legacy.The fifth part analyses the overall situation of China’s current anti-corruption, and put forward three new features of the current anti-corruption which has obvious staged characteristic: temporary style corruption is the mainstream, benign political environment has not been established, there are still existing resistances to anti-corruption.The sixth part explores the root causes of corruption during the traditional period, based on the overall analysis of the current anti-corruption situation, this part puts forward four measures to anti-corruption: to strengthen the ideological and moral restraint, to strengthen anti-corruption Law construction, to perfect power supervision, to carry out international cooperation actively.
