The Discussion Of The Application To Ideological And Political Education In Relieving Social Resentment

With economic development, people’s living standard has improved greatly and the level of social civilization has risen immeasurable. But some people are also discontent with the society, and have developed this discontentment to social resentment. Social resentment has far-reaching effect on building harmonious and civilized society, so it has caused concern from many fields. This paper tries to analyse social resentment from the perspective of ideological and political education, and to look for more tender governance solution to social resentment, and tries to find the role ideological and political education will play in relieving social resentment.This dissertation discusses the application to Ideological and Political education in relieving social resentment from four parts. This first chapter is to introduce the concept of social resentment.First of all, it discusses the concept of resentment, compares resentment with complaints, hatred and envy. Then giving a definition of social resentment based on the discussion of components and characters of social resentment. This dissertation defines social resentment as a violent passion with discontent and bitterness when group are subjected to stimulus because of then-situation.Finally, this chapter studies three significant manifestation of social resentment, they are "Hatred for officials", "Hatred for wealth people" and "Hatred towards society". This second chapter is to study the cause and effect of social resentment. The cause can come down to internal and external causes. The internal cause contains cognitive ability of the group, emotional situation of the group and the moral standards of the situation. The external cause contains the politics, economy and culture of the society. In addition, social resentment brings good and bad influences. If the social resentment can be controlled within a certain scope it will bring benefit to the society. It will enhance the political development, improve economic performance and improve the construct of the rule of law. It affects government’s image, impacts social dominating values and affects the construction of the harmonious society. The third part is to research the application to ideological and political education in relieving social resentment. First of all, ideological and political education can help people increase recognition in government by making people have complete knowledge of our country’s economy and build confidence in restructuring the economic system. Furthermore, ideological and political education will propagandize political restructuring and the socialism core value, so people can develop well emotion to policy. Ideological and Political education can shape social morality by developing healthy hobbies and cultivating an open-mind society. The forth part is to introduce the contents and methods of relieving social resentment. The contents include the education of ideals and beliefs, grateful education, restraint education and tolerance education. As for the methods of relieving social resentment, it introduces classification education.Classification education have two parts, one is about different people relate to social resentment the other is about different stages of development of social resentment.
