Reserch On Guangxi Regionalautonomy Of Nationalities In The Early Establishment Of New China(1949-1958)

The system of regional autonomy for ethnic minorities is one of China’s basic political Institutions. The year of 1949 to 1958 was an important period for the formation and initial establishment of Ethnic Regional Autonomy in Guangxi. The article observes and analyzes the historical process of implementation of regional ethnic autonomy in Guangxi from the perspective of political theory. Describes Guangxi regional ethnic autonomy from nonexistence to existence, and the development from "small autonomy" to "big autonomy". It investigates the history contribution for China’s political theory, and the practical significance that ethnic autonomy implements in Guangxi. Thesis uses four chapters to review and reflect this history. First, the author believes there has historical inevitability of Guangxi implementation regional ethnic autonomy. It has ethnic "autonomy" tradition in the history of Guangxi. Second, the author believes that it has practical feasibility.Discussion from the social development and the needs of Ethnic Regional Autonomy in Guangxi. Besides, it has political and ideological foundation. It has been proved that implementation regional ethnic autonomy policy has the superiority in Guangxi. China’s regional ethnic autonomy system has strong vitality.
