After earthquake in 2008, many community were destroyed, the residents are homeless. So, dominated by the government, it has created a huge immigrant groups in Sichuan province. Disasters immigrant groups migrated to a new place to live and development, this is a process of social adaptation or re-socialization. Grasping the immigration social mentality objectively, be able to understand the real needs of the immigration, making them better, faster, more stable to adapt to the new place. Immigrant mentality is subjective indicators of social adaptation, can directly reflect the extent which immigrants to adapt to the new environment. At the same time, immigrants’ mentality is the behavior guidance for the immigrants and a prelude. Study of social mentality in the immigrant social adaptability is necessary.This study uses five aspects to measure the social mentality of immigration, immigrants’ living satisfaction in the new community, immigrants’ community security in the new community, immigrants’ community sense of belonging to the new community, the psychological distance of migrants and local residents, immigrants confidence in the future development of the new community. This study selects the immigrants in Nanbaoshan Township and Huijue town as sample, one is the centralized resettlement sites, another is the dispersed resettlement sites. The method of questionnaire and interview were used in this study. Through the analysis of investigation data and case, we know five conclusions as follows. Firstly, in the two different regions, immigrants have a low satisfaction of economic income, land quantity and quality. In terms of overall satisfaction, the satisfaction of Luojiang immigrants is higher than Qionglai immigrants. Second, immigrants in these two areas are worried about the economy, land quantity and quality, the school conditions of their children. In terms of overall satisfaction of immigrants’ community security, there is no difference in the two areas. Thirdly, the aspect of the community sense of belonging, most of the Qionglai immigrants have self-identity their identity, they are more concerned about their village things, the relationship between migrants and the neighborhood is relatively good, but immigrant do not have the sense of nostalgia for their new community. For Luojiang immigrants, nearly eighty percent of the immigrants do not accept their identity as a Luojiang people, nearly six percent immigration have no sense of nostalgia about the current village, the relationship between immigrants and local residents is very strange, little interaction between the two groups. In terms of overall immigrants’ community sense of belonging, Qionglai immigrants’ belonging sense is higher than Luojiang immigrants. Fourthly, although the Qionglai immigrant and Qiangzu immigrants live in a same community, psychological distance exists between them. More than half of the Luojiang immigrants think that the locals is not willing to accept immigrants. Fifth, more than sixty percent of Qionglai immigrant have pessimistic attitude for the future economy development. More than fifty percent of Luojiang immigration have negative attitude for the future economic development.
