Study On The Influence Factors Of Rural Residents Pension Mode Selection

The old-age comes to become social issues because the aged population keeps ever-increasing in China. Further, rural endowment problem has attracted more attention. The traditional mode of family pension is greatly threatened by the augment of aged population. Lacking of efficient land productivity and land reservation, people fail to provide sufficient economic support. Family structure evolving makes the family size smaller. With the influence of market economy, farmers’ value has changed; Compared with cities, the social pension system in rural is deficient. This forces numerous young and middle-aged labors to flow to cities, which makes the pension situation of rural residents face with more serious situation. Studies on the limiting factors of rural pension mode are beneficial to establish the unified pension mode in urban and rural areas. It is beneficial to rural residents to share the achievements of economic and social development and is beneficial to achieve the ultimate goal of social endowment security system, finally fulfill the grand goal of social harmony. Therefore, It would profoundly produce both practical and theoretical influences that the selecting mode of old-age is optimized when this achievement apply to policy draft, service institute construction and old-age system consummation.In the present study, we examined the rural mode of old-age in Datong, Shanxi Province. First of all, this paper mainly introduces the support of topic, research methods, innovation and summarizes the research status at home and abroad. Second, relevant concepts and theories on urban pension modes were defined. The results also shows that the family pension is the first choice for rural residents endowment. Then the third part focuses on the analysis of present situation and existing problems of pension system. In the forth part, a multivariate logistic model has been established to empirically analyze the factors which affect the behaviors of choosing a pension mode; it’s found that the choices are affected by such factors as gender,profession, income, numbers of children, understanding of urban pension mode. Finally, according to the analysis of the effecting factors and the typical cases analyzed above, proposing a general idea of improving the pension mode system,which means heading for satisfying a diversified pension mode, establishing a tridimensional pension mode and service system in the entire China, which have a full coverage of urban and rural area diversification and are basing on traditional family cares, relying on community-based housing support and supported by social endowment institutions. The concrete measure to take is to increase investment in all the aspects, enlarge the endowment service training and speed up the design of endowment service policy to provide the support of thought, fund, materials, human resources and policy in improving the diversified pension mode.
