Research On The Choices Of Urban Endowment Pattern Of The Underdeveloped Area In Central China And Its Effecting Factors

content:Social pension system and pension services have become big challenges for the social economic development in China with the advent of the aging society,. With the accomplishment of a full coverage of basic society endowment insurance, it’s urgent to establish a sophisticated pension system and provide diversified pension and service mode on the basis of considering development levels of social economy, population characteristic, levels of income and family structures in different areas. In this paper, the choices of urban pension mode in the underdeveloped area in central China and its effecting factors are taken as the main objects. Some methods such as document research, empirical research, historical research, case analysis, inductive research are adopted. At first, relevant concepts and theories on urban pension modes were defined and hackled. Then the second part focuses on the analysis of history, present situation and existing problems of urban pension system, along with the analysis of the behavior subject, namely the people demanding for it, on choosing an urban pension mode and its motivations. In the third part, a multivariate logistic model has been established to empirically analyze the factors which affect the behaviors of choosing a pension mode; it’s found that the choices are affected by such factors as living place, educational background, being local people or not, health condition, understanding of urban pension mode, age, monthly income, numbers of children in their families, distance from their living places to the places where their children are living, and the filial piety from their children. Then based on this, two typical cases of pension and service mode have been chosen to summarize its basic situation, service procedure, existing problems and the experience obtained from them. Finally, according to the analysis of the effecting factors and the typical cases analyzed above, proposing a general idea of improving the underdeveloped central China pension mode system, which means heading for satisfying a diversified pension mode, taking5to10years to establish a tridimensional pension mode and service system in the underdeveloped central China and even the entire China, which have a full coverage of urban and rural area diversification and are basing on traditional family cares, relying on community-based housing support and supported by social endowment institutions. The concrete measure to take is to enhance the propaganda of endowment service, increase investment in all the aspects, accelerate the build speed of endowment service facilities, enlarge the endowment service training and speed up the design of endowment service policy to provide the support of thought, fund, materials, human resources and policy in improving the diversified pension mode.
