Research Of The Marriage Problems Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

The groups of migrant workers who were bored in the 1980s and 1990s are called "new generation of migrant workers", they are gradually replacing the elder generation and becoming the major component of the migrant workers, they has attracted attentions from the government and each parts of our society. They are in the marriageable age, and at an important stage of socialization. The experience of working outside has made significant change on their behavior and ideas; it seems that they are incongruous in the rural society. In this paper, using the qualitative research methods, The main way of collecting data through interviews, select a traditional rural Qinghe County, Hebei Province as the survey sites, choose typical investigation object, including the new generation of migrant workers and parts of their parents. This article use Bourdieu’s "Field-Habitus" as the theoretical basis for analysis to overcome the dualism of macro and micro. On the basis of adequate data collection, we can conclude that the way and concept of new generation of migrant workers has made tremendous changes, they put emotional fit and satisfy in an important position, and strive to get rid of the traditional values-"properly matched marriage". The age of their first marriage has improved significantly; early marriages are fewer and fewer, sexual satisfaction is highly regarded by them, "flash marriage" has gradually became common phenomenon in rural areas and accepted by people, but the increase in the cost of marriage has become a heavy burden on rural families, or even "because of marriage to poverty "phenomenon. However, while generating new phenomenon, is also accompanied by the emergence of new problems, because of sex ratio imbalance, a lot of men migrant workers facing the problem of "no mate", the long separated life has declined the trust between husband and wife and threatened their marriage, at the same time, many migrant workers are forced to marriage because of the pressure of public opinion and brutal social reality, this action has hidden some dangers for their marriages. The new generations of migrant workers are affected by both rural and urban field of marriage, the actors in the rural field including not only the migrant workers but also their families, so they can not completely out of the rural Marriage field. And although the year-round living in the cities, they can not really integrate into them, due to the lack of effective competition in the capital. They are always forced to "exit" and return to the countryside. We need to solve the problem of marriage the new generation of migrant workers from many aspects, including reform of household registration system, strengthen the protection of rights and interests of migrant workers, establish rural migrant workers social security system, promote the correct formation and marriage concept and build effective dating platform etc...
