The Muslim Brotherhood is Egyptian important islamic political organization, which was established in March, 1928 by Hassan al-Banna. Since it was found, it has gradually become a force to be reckoned with in Egypt and all over the Arab world. The Muslim Brotherhood had an important influence on the political process of modern Egypt, has become the most influential Islamic political organization in the world.This thesis describes the establishment as well as the basic political ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, systemizes the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in the confrontation against the British colonial dominancy, in the dethroning of the King Farouk and in the national government establishment. The thesis is mostly focused on the relationship between Muslim Brotherhood and the government during the Mubarak’s long-ruling era; expounds the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood on the overthrow Mubarak regime’s process, and the influence on Egypt’s political, economic and cultural life after coming to power.
