Coordination Degree Of Urbanization And The Supply Of Basic Public Services

Urbanization is a systematic project which is involving a wide range and complicated, it includes population urbanization, economic urbanization, spatial urbanization and other aspects of connotation. Supply of basic public services is a multi-act provided mainly by the government, market and society, in our country most is provided by government. The supply of basic public services covers education, health care and public health, social security and employment, infrastructure, environmental protection, public safety and many other content.At present, China is in the period of structural adjustment, economic transition, development of urbanization should not only focus on speed, but also quality, therefore, the research of the coordinate degree of urbanization and the supply of basic public services is necessary, it is concern of the people’s livelihood issues, and related to the quality of life and how happy people are.This paper based on two levels of nation and province (city), on the basis of existed theory and current analysis, and used coupling coordination degree model to study urbanization and the supply of basic public services and the degree of coupling coordination of its sub-indicators, and according to comprehensive development index of urbanization and the supply of basic public services it classified the country’s 31 provinces (municipalities), and pointed the direction of future efforts to improve of east, central and western provinces (municipalities). Thesis includes six chapters:The first chapter focused on the background and significance of the study, reviewed the relevant research and literatures, and gave ideas and structure of this paper, summarized innovation and shortcomings of this paper;The second chapter was the theoretical basis of the study and consruction of the index system, elaborated from two areas of urbanization and basic public services, summarizes the theory and build evaluation system;The third chapter was analysis of the status of urbanization and the supply of basic public services, we carried out a descriptive analysis of the status of the supply of public services based on the index system of national and provincial (city) urbanization and basic;The fourth chapter was coordination degree of urbanization and the supply of basic public services, the first was the description of coupling coordination degree model,the second is analysis of coupling coordination degree of nation and provinces (city),as a result, the level of comprehensive development of the national urbanization and basic public services was continuously improving, the degree of coupling coordination was high, but the level of comprehensive development and the degree of coupling coordination of the urbanization and the supply of basic public services of provinces (city) varied greatly, therefore, this paper further classified the provinces according to criteria;The fifth chapter was the research of sub-index of the coupling coordination degree of urbanization and the supply of basic public services, and classified the 31 provinces (cities) according to criteria, draw a conclusion that some provinces and cities has been low and moderate coordination in sides of supply, social security and employment supply of education, infrastructure supply, public safety supply;The sixth chapter included conclusions and recommendations,from aspects of the country, eastern, central and western provinces (cities) angle we summarized the degree of coordination of the urbanization and supply of basic public services, and made a number of targeted policy and recommendations on how to steadily promote new urbanization, urbanization, coordination degree between urbanization and the supply of basic public services, assure the quality of urbanization.
