In the era of Web 2.0, micro-blog changed the appearance of media discourse, and the innovative political participation mode. In recent years, China’s government departments have set up the government micro-blog to release all kinds of news, making micro-blog a more active role in social management innovation, government information publicity, news public opinion guidance, hearing of the voice of the public, and government image construction. However, during the whole process it also encountered many problems and challenges.The paper adopted integrated use of literature study, case analysis, content analysis and other methods of investigation. It took “@ Suzhou Release,” the official micro-blog of the Information Office of the Suzhou City Hall, as an example, to study the current situation of the content and interaction of government micro-blogs. The paper sums up the inner management of “@ Suzhou Release”, from four aspects, including main introduction, content classification, basic data analysis and content analysis. Also the paper contrasts two other official blogs, “@Shanghai Release,” and “Wuxi Release” with “@ Suzhou Release” in fields of data, content, release form and interaction form, exploring their advantages and disadvantages, and finally in order to explore the main problems and its cause. Meanwhile, case study is also introduced in the paper to discuss the further development of the government micro-blogs.
