Cerebral palsy is one of the most common congenital disorders among the children in China. There have been hundreds of thousands of new cerebral palsy patients added every year. Not only affecting children’s survival and quality of life seriously, this disease can also bring a heavy economic and mental burden to the family and society, and have an influence on the overall improvement of the population quality. However, the assistance system to cerebral palsy children is not perfect so far in our country, which is one-fold in assistance methods, emphasizes material assistance while neglecting psychological and other diversified assistance, and lacks professionals an d a holistic, systematic and comprehensive rehabilitation intervention mode more seriously. Therefore, it appears that how to interfere in the complex problems of children with cerebral palsy effectively is particularly urgent and important.This thesis selects a cerebral palsy child named “Z” as the research object from the“Warm Plan”, the first session of public-benefited procurement project in Suzhou. It analyzes and evaluates the growth predicament and demands confronted by the case subject from the aspects of individual, family and social support through taking the methods of interview, scale and observation. Meanwhile, the research carries out a series of interventions on the case subject with the help of the professional theory, method and technique of case management, such as using the rational-emotive therapy to assist the client to ease the tense mother-daughter relationship, using the behavior therapy to help the client make family rehabilitation training, link preponderant resources of society to the client actively and help them overcome the difficulties in their growth, promote social rehabilitation.In conclusion, the paper summarizes the unique advantages of the case management on interfering in the growth plight of the children with cerebral palsy. That is to say, for the service target, it gives more response to the diversified demands of the client; in the servicemode, it integrates a variety of social work skills, develops and implements a “package”service plan centering on the sufferer; in the process of the service, it can also offer the continuous, dynamic tracking and evaluation; in the effects of the service, it can help the client expand and perfect the social support system in order to achieve the goal of self-reliance ultimately.
