With the continuous acceleration of urbanization and modernization, the social structure of our country has undergone great changes. At the same time, there have been dramatic changes in people’s mobility, place of residence or work, type of employment and social status. In this context, the rural labor force is driven by the market economy away from the traditional life patterns and arrangements. However, although the rural labor force moving in urban and rural areas has promoted the important development of social economy in our country,it is limited by the traditional urban and rural dual structure and household registration system in our country,so that its family has to face the dilemma of long-term parent-child separation, and the rural left-behind children group caused by the change of social structure has to face all kinds of challenges in the process of growing up.Since the 1990 s,the group of left-behind children has received wide attention from all walks of life. However, most of the attention has been focused on descriptive and explanatory studies of some certain problems, not on the micro-strategy research of social work practice intervening rural left-behind children. In view of this, this paper takes rural left-behind children as the research object.Based on the survey and data analysis of left-behind and non-left-behind children,a lot of findings have been obtained and are presented as follows:first,in economic incomes, there are some differences between their families;second,in physical health and safety, the level of physical health and physiological safety of left-behind children is lower than that of non-left-behind ones;third,in psychological stress types, what the left-behind children experience is different from that of non-left-behind children;between the frequency of contact with parents and children’s psychological feelings, there exists a weak correlation;fourth, the proportion of left-behind children injured is higher than that of non-left-behind children;the living community environment of left-behind children is worse than that of non-left-behind children;and the self-identity of left-behind children is lower than that of non-left-behind children. This thesis consists of six chapters. The introduction part presents background information and significances of the research.Chapter 2 introduces the concept and relevant theoretical basis, puts forward research hypothesis after reviewing the literature and lays out the research design;Chapter 3 analyzes the living situation and education status of the left-behind children in rural areas of R county;Chapter 4 describes the implementation plan and process of the integrated practice of the group work and community work in detail;Chapter 5 puts forward relevant suggestions and measures. For the specific coping strategies, this thesis adheres to the ecosystem theory and the guiding concept of psychological and social development theory, and through multi-dimensional resource network—linked by social workers—of rural left-behind children,it aims to help them increase their ability and achieve the goal of developing healthy personality of rural left-behind children from four dimensions: attaching importance to children’s subjectivity, investigating the vulnerability of children and their families, strengthening the construction of talent team for children’s careand protection, and establishing the connection mechanism between the normalization of child protection system and emergency management system. The last part summarizes the experience of the integrated practice of group work and community work, and reflects on the problems of lacking relevant resource support, professional ability of social workers and public understanding of social work, hoping to provide reference for the future social work intervention project.
