The economic and social development of important strategic opportunities of China, which exists together with the social contradictions emerged. Various social groups events continue to occur, challenging (?)ne government s ability of public administration. With the recent rapid development of Information technology, the network has become a profound impact on our social and political life. Conflicts, contradictions and all kinds of emotions on internet is the same as which in our real society. Network has become an effective way to express our demands. The government can also get the public opinion through internet in time, and communicate with the public effectively.The network group events are recurrent and new crises to the government in an internet age. Since our country is undergoing social transition, the social structure of huge changes between different interest groups occurs. These conflicts will inevitably refract in the network society. It usually expands to cover many of the fair, justice, emocratic, public morality, public administration and other aspects. The government officials working in public authority, public welfare and public awareness departments will easily be focused on. Network group events offer a whole new dimension to test the government credit and the public governance. As soon as the government mismanages, group events in the real world will occur and impact the government and the society.This paper attempts to start from the analysis of the cases of China’s network hotspots and network group events in the period of 2008-2012, parsing the definition, characteristics, types, and analysing their causes and influence. Most important, we need to find out the countermeasures to the network group events’, and to seek the solutions of public administration.
