On December 12,2013,《The central working conference of urbanization)) explicitly requested to promote the people as the core of urbanization, and gradually improve the quality of life of urban residents, and made peasant workers’ citizenization as the primary task of promoting urbanization. On March 16,2014, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council promulgated the 《National new urbanization plan (2014-2020)》,which pointed out again that our country is at a critical in-depth development of urbanization. People of urbanization construction, is mainly to improve the life satisfaction of off-farm workers, and then go on urbanization. Research shows that currently hundreds of millions of off-farm workers are in a "semi-urban" state, being marginalized and in low life satisfaction, which severely hinder citizenship and become the bottleneck of urbanization development. In this context, in the intergenerational perspective of off-farm workers, to analysis of life satisfaction factors and mechanisms for achieving peasant workers’citizenization have practical significance to promote the new urbanization.Firstly, the paper introduces the research background and significance, reviews the relevant literatures, and designs technical route of research. Secondly, according to the relevant literature, combining with 2009 Chinese rural-urban migration survey data(RUMiC),the paper constructs an affecting factors system of life satisfaction of off-farm workers, including the economic, emotional personality, demographic and social characteristics, social security, housing, regional and other factors. Thirdly, in the intergenerational perspective of off-farm workers, the paper statistically analyses overall life satisfaction and six specific areas of life satisfaction:work, income, family economics, health, housing and relationships. Finally, the paper makes specific areas of satisfaction as an intermediate variable, the variable income, emotional personality, demographic and social characteristics, social security, housing, region etc as the original variable, and reveals the path of initial variables and intermediate variables affecting life satisfaction of off-farm workers by optimal scaling regression and path analysis.Through descriptive statistical analysis, results can be found:overall life satisfaction of off-farm workers is above the general level; in six specific areas of life satisfaction, the highest are health" and human relations and the lowest are the housing situation and income; the new generation off-farm workers’life satisfaction is lower than the older generation. Through empirical analysis, results can be found that six specific areas of life satisfaction have a significant impact on the overall life satisfaction of off-farm workers; interpersonal satisfaction and housing satisfaction have largest impact on the new generation off-farm workers’overall life satisfaction; interpersonal satisfaction and health satisfaction have largest impact on the old generation off-farm workers’overall life satisfaction; income, emotional personality, demographic and social characteristics, social security, housing and regional factors influence overall life satisfaction through direct and indirect path; there are some differences in the life satisfaction influencing factors on the new and old generation off-farm workers. According to the study, this paper gives some advices to improve off-farm workers’ life satisfaction.
