| To implement the spirit of the 3rd Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee and comprehensively deepen the reform, one of the important livelihood projects is to respond positively to China’s aging population, speed up the building of the social system of old age care services and develop the pension industry. Both the central government and local governments have studied the issue and distributed their guidelines. Wuhu municipal party committee and Wuhu city government have attached much importance to it.Concerned with the above background and based on collected literature and investigations into the samples and the actual situation of Wuhu city, this article tries to study the pension industry in Wuhu city with theories of economics and management, tools of SWOT analysis and the diamond model, and graphical models and tables, and puts forward countermeasures and proposals for strategic development of pension industry of Wuhu city. Its content includes:First,the introduction mainly describes the basic situation of this research.
