The Construction Of Spiritual Security Pattern For The Elder Of Rural Five-Guarantees In Social Welfare Institution Under The Pespective Of Embeddedness Theory

The elderly five guarantees, as social vulnerable groups whose spiritual support has for a long time been neglected, are now confronted with diverse spiritual needs blanks.Theories and systems concerning about spiritual security for the elderly five guarantees have yet been formed for the time being. Just as social work when borrowed from outside is embedded into traditional Chinese social work, the thesis attempts to embed the foreign modern elderly mental caring into the national one. We remain what are cherished inside, obtain and borrow what tend to be professional outside and form our own elderly caring mode. Under this mode, we try to construct spiritual security for the elderly five guarantees,taking the putuan welfare institution into cosideration.The paper has come to the conclusion of their typical local spiritual predicament and needs under case study,i.e. kinship, love from other elderly five guarantees, recreational needs, freedom and self emotional support. The study tries to explore the possibility of embedding the modern spiritual caring known for its professional perspectives, comprehensive solutions and broad coverage in the traditional one from the perspective of embeddedness theory under the aspects of embedding subject, embedded subject, embedding process, physical space and effect. The exploration is on the premise of the development of social work and its localization. Based on all the above analysis, a four in one pattern of constructing spiritual security for the elderly five guarantees thus can be formed. The security pattern on the nation-community(village) level is to make sure the staff of both the civil affair department and the welfare institution project a correct cognition and values towards the elderly five guarantees. The pattern of filling in the blanks that are left for the absence of social workers, making full use of social policies and the three methods of social work is to be established on the level of a good cooperation between social workers and non-social workers. The security pattern on the level of elderly five guarantees is to focus on tapping and improving their self-potentials. The supplementary pattern is to obtain social support from kinship and friends. The study attempts to help elderly five guarantees improve their quality of life and promote the development of social work localization.
