The next20years will be the fastest growing period of the country’s aging population. Establishing a solid, moderate, comprehensive, in-depth social care service system, has become an urgent task. China’s current pension model is family pension dominated, institutional pension supple, community for the new situation, and pension institutions to meet the needs of the elderly pension plays an important role.For social work involved in welfare organizations, the object is not limited to the basic health care, drug treatment and care aspects, but the services extended to serve the spiritual, psychological and social intervention levels in order to meet the elderly the need to deal with obstacles in the environment, improve service object potential.In this paper, take the orphanage elderly in Xian Ning for study, Select these elderly spiritual needs as the starting point, using literature, observation, case interview technical route, according to the elderly spiritual needs and characteristics design specific programs, help the elderly self-adaptation, develop some healthy habits enhance their social life, enabling elderly get a sense of identity and self-integrity, to tap the potential to improve the elderly quality of life.The first part of the thesis introduction:sort out the background on pension agency, understand the current status of the overall institutional pension on the domestic pension model and a comprehensive overview of the pension problem. The second part of the study design:the core definition of the concept of the paper; theoretical basis of the study; research methods and ideas; a basic introduction of the project location and service object. The third part of the project design:service object needs analysis; overall planning of activities. The fourth part of the project implementation:The three specific activities of the processes and analysis. Fifth part of the project assessment:evaluation of the results, conclusions and Reflection; The sixth part of the thesis is Conclusions and Suggestions.Positive development of local cultural advantage, respecting elderly people, training local volunteer services for the elderly; promote the role of social workers conversion, teaching elderly, encourage and give the elderly confident; vigorously advocate for the elderly own advantages, help the elderly meet the basic living problems; fully mobilize social forces and resources into pension services.
