Research On The Path And The Significance Of The Construction Of Ecological Civilization In China

In the great practice of building a moderately prosperous society, thecontradiction between economic development and ecological environment hasbecome increasingly prominent. As the report of the18thParty Congress points out,presently, China is facing the grim situation, such as " tight resource constraints,environmental pollution, ecosystem degradation " and so on. Therefore, theconstruction of ecological civilization is imperative. Ecological civilization, is theadvanced stage of development of human civilization. And it is also "related to thewell-being of our people, the future of the Chinese nation ’s long-term plan." In thispaper, the core issue is the meaningful selection of the construction of ecologicalcivilization．Specifically, in the first part, the concrete connotation of ecological civilizationand its theoretical basis are elucidated．First of all, the ecological civilization has richconnotation. From the history of human civilization, ecological civilization is a newpattern of civilization after the traditional civilization and the industrial civilization.From the perspective of the “Five-in-one”, the overall layout of “Five-in-one” ofSocialist Modernization is constructed by the ecology civilization construction andeconomic construction, political construction, social construction, culturalconstruction. In terms of connotation, ecological civilization includes the ecologicalconsciousness civilization, the ecological system civilization and the ecologicalbehavior civilization．Secondly, the construction of ecological civilization has a solidtheoretical foundation. There are three sources: First of all, the classic thesis about therelationship between man and nature by Marx and Engels; second of all, during thepractice of Chinese socialist revolution and construction, the Marxism in Chinaformedthe ideology of the protection of ecological environment; third of all, theideology of Confucianism, Buddhism about respecting nature, protecting theenvironment and the harmony between human and nature in Chinese traditionalculture． In the second part, we will investigate the current situation of ecologicalenvironment in our country and analiyse the caeses of environmental problems. Theecological environmental price caused by the high-speed economic development inour country—“the serious Soil erosion”、” the rapid development ofdesertification”、”the intensified Grassland degradation”、”the acceleration of theextinction of biological species”、” the serious water pollution”、”the pessimistic airquality”、” the environmental pollution spreads to the rural”, which is the realisticbasis of the strategy of the ecological civilization construction in our country．Thereasons for these problems are various, both objective factors and subjective mistakes,which including: in the economic: the huge population base and the extensive modeof economic growth; in political: political outlook for GDP and legal supervision doesnot reach the designated position; in culture: the erosion of anthropocentrism andalienation of consumerism; in Society: the public awareness of environmentalprotection is poor.In the third part, we will explore the specific path of the construction ofecological civilization in our country． We will answer the question of the specificpath from four levels．(1) From the economic level, We should develop the ecologicaleconomy (2) From political level, Speeding up the legalization process of ecologicalconstruction．(3) From cultural level, improving people’s ecological consciousness.(4)From social level, we should pay attention to the participation of the whole nation.In the theoretical and practical significance of construction of ecological civilizationare demonstrated． This paper points out that, in theory, the strategy of the ecologicalcivilization construction is the inheritance and development which is based on theideology of ecological civilization of Marx and Engels, and is the theory deepeningand advancing which is based on the ideology of ecological civilization by Marxismin China; in practice, the strategy of the ecological civilization construction is theinevitable choice which can lead our country out of the ecological predicament, and isalso the reality need which is to adapt to the masses of the people lived a happy lifeand realize the well-off society in an all-round way．...
