4th Movement in China. In perspective of women’s participation, I found out the patriotic movement progress and the historical significance in Korea and China in19th century.In Chapter2, I investigated the background of women’s participation in eachnation’s movement and studied special features of the female society formedunder feudal oppression as internal affairs and patriotic movement formed under imperialistic aggression as external affairs. And I analyzed the factors for theemancipation of women in the end of19th century and studied how Westernideas affected feudalism.In Chapter3, I compared women’s participation in the progress of the March1st Movement and the May4th Movement from the viewpoint of the socialclass, method, purpose and role.In Chapter4, I researched how the women (who participated in each movement) had an effect on a women’s liberation movement in Korea and China since1920. Both of Movements was a great turning point in history of a women’s liberation movement. After that, a women’s liberation movement combinedsocialism and tried to find a new way. Moreover, I studied what women’s participation brought a change on a women’s liberation movement since20th century.Lastly, I found out the special features of a women’s liberation movement inKorea and China and the significance of women’s participation in the courseof the March1st Movement and the May4th Movement.
