May Fourth Movement is a thoroughly anti-imperialist movement, as the beginning of China’s democratic revolution, is of great significance in China’s modern history. Accordingly, the women’s liberation movement in this period is also implementing a new idea, a new power savings, after the liberation movement for women under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and prepared the way, in the history of the modern women’s liberation has an important position. Women’s Liberation Movement therefore study period for the completion of today’s women insist on self-development, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is of great significance.This paper is divided into five parts altogether. The first part is an introduction, describes the background, purpose, meaning, and the development process of the Western women’s liberation movement of the topic. The second part of the first chapter introduces the definition about time the May Fourth Movement and Women’s Liberation Movement During the international and domestic context. The third part is the second chapter describes the modern economic relations, follow the historical development and social reality, by the influence of Western thought for the historical conditions of women’s liberation in May 4th Period produced; emphasize female personality independent, pluralistic thinking pattern, gradually changing the preliminary nature of the socialist women’s liberation movement, featuring the May Fourth Period; describes the content of Marxist views on women, the process spread in China, the role of women’s liberation. The fourth part is the third chapter describes the contents of the first women’s liberation movement of the May Fourth period of economic rights, the right to education, suffrage, social openness, marriage and other aspects of autonomy, described its characteristics in terms of guidelines followed, subject and so on. The fifth part is the fourth chapter, describes the impact of the women’s liberation movement of the May Fourth Movement, including the historical role and impact on the development of today’s women.
