The Long-term Care Research For Disabled Elderly In City

In the wave of global aging, China is experiencing demographic changes in elderlytype. With the improvement of public service and medical, the elderly with chronicdiseases, unhealthy time also in the extension, this part of the group, we call thatdisabled elders. The daily lives of disabled elderly entirely rely on others in the existingenvironment is hard to get respect. For a long time, due to the high prevalence ofchronic diseases such as high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, the old mancontinues to increase the incidence of disability in our country, in the foreseeable future,an ageing population will still rising demand for long-term care. On the other hand, theelderly group service system in our country is not satisfactory, care for by family,organization and community is not so satisfactory. In the modern world, whether to givestable care and concern to elderly is an important symbol when measuring the level ofsocial harmony of a country or region. It is thus of practical significance for pushingforward the society’s modernization process to study the disabled elderly and at thesame time offer the appropriate countermeasures. Based on this, the article through theliterature research method, questionnaire survey method and other methods to problemsand solutions of disabled elderly in our country, Through an investigation of21disabledelders, we founding that the community participation in disable elderly-care is low, thestress of family-care is too high. Based on this, I put forward that the government couldstrengthen the support; remodeling "filial piety" values; improving rules and regulations.The research train of thought, method and innovation that introduces the domesticand international research present situation and this paper and background thatproposition puts forward are counted. Secondly, author presented the status of disabledelderly in China and its effect on the society. Thirdly, the paper introduces the surveyconducted on21disabled elderly from2cities to learn the situation of disabled elderly,and analyze existing problems, and provide scientific basement for Long-care system inour country. In part four, the problems of Long-care in nursing home were analyzed and concluded. In the next section, the reasons the problems analyzed. Lastly, according tothe above analysis, some constructive suggestions to solve the problems were given onthe basis of learning from data analysis and overseas advanced experiences. However,because of the author’s limited academic level and cognitive ability, this thesis is noperfect in its depth and completeness. Further research in this field is still in need.
