The research object of this paper is the climate policy of India,mainly about the climate policy adjustment and the reasons after the Copenhagen Climate Summit.This article mainly uses the method of textualism,at the same time, analysis and synthesis method and the method of comparison.This paper argues that India’s climate policy showed a significant adjustment after the Copenhagen climate meeting,Its climate policy transit from fuzzy to clear and has been more perfect and professional.On the one hand, India’s traditional hard-line stance started to change, on the other hand, India actively shape its own better image in climate change negotiations. India’s climate policy characteristics has changed from conservative nationalism to a gradual internationalism. The reasons why India made the adjustment in climate policy came from many aspects.As for India, first of all, India has significant climate vulnerability for India has suffered many severe events caused by climate change.India’s energy structure has great limitations at the same time and can’t afford India’s rapid development of economic. With the develop of the research, the relationship between human activity and climate change has been more clear and it lead to the adjustment of people’s perception on this problem. At the same time they found that the goals on climate change management and energy security and also the goal of economic development can be realized through co-benefit effect.At the international level, India faced pressure from developed countries as well as developing countries, and it will affect the pursuit of the world’s superpower status of India and seek to achieve permanent membership of the United Nations security council. The reasons all together led to the climate policy adjustment of India.
