Nowadays Aging of population is a hot topic Gansu is faced with. With the aging time approaching the urban old-age issue is already the one which the Party,government, society, households, individuals and academic fields concern.Such research is practically based on the history of the urban community old-age business about Gansu,which is followed by the adequate inspection and analysis. Eventually comes a conclusion as following aspects:refine community old-age policy and legal system; pluralistic and improved community old-age service system, what come up from the conclusion can be summarized less support from government, less pension in community old-age business, weak community old-age fundamental building, less institution buildings, low-skill community old-age careers especially their least concerns about the elders’spirit and minds. Based on the above and according to the community development in the 12th Five-Year Plan,the development of social security in the 12th Five-Year Plan, the aging development in the 12th Five-Year Plan, Gansu development and the development of social security as well as the aging in the 12th Five-Year Plan, some suggestions are given to the development of Gansu urban community old-age business. What about next are the strengthening of the Party’s leadership and government pension services, of urban community building and the expansion of community old-age business; the mobilization of social organization to participate in the old-age business and the good improvement of old-age business.
