A Study On The Pattern Of Providing For The Aged In Urban Communities In China

With the development of society, our country has entered the aging society. The problem of the aging is gradually becoming more and more serious. Under this kind of circumstance, exploring one kind of pension mode to suit our country national condition is the core of solving the aging. Community providing pattern for the aged become a new choice in city.First, this paper reviewed relevant scholars on the basis of research achievements, conjunct with the relevant community pension theories, emphasized the practical significance and feasibility about the present researches in urban community pension.Secondly, from our community pension present situation, development of community pension service is still in its infancy but it has had some achievement on that in last few years. Take the Bund community as an example, further analysis urban community providing pattern for the aged. On the basis of China’s community pension results, this paper analyzed the problems which still exist in the community pension, such as:the inadequate fund, the laws and regulations is imperfect, the workers’quality are not high, the gap between supply of and demand for the service etc..Thirdly, community providing pattern for the aged originates from the western countries. Some countries or regions have accumulated a wealth of experience, both in theory or in practice. Analyzing main methods and content about the community pension in Britain, Australia, Japan, summarized the successful experience, put forward that our country should learn from other countries’success to perfect our pension service system.At last, proposed the countermeasures to improve our community pension. Mainly in the following aspects:increase financial investment, improve the relevant laws and regulations of community pension, strengthen relevant workers’ professional quality training, improve the community service for the aged, raise community awareness of the community pension and so on.
