Study Of The Speedy Disputes Settlement Mechanism For Police Administrative Activities

As the spirit of rule of law develops continuously in China, the police has paid more attention in the legit employment of administrative powers to meet the expectation of the public. The standard of use of administrative power is stricter and the specific requirements for administrative activities are more detailed. The employment of administrative power is limited while the number of administrative activities increases. As the number of disputes in administration increases, settling the disputes legally has become a real challenge for the police organs in their daily works.The existing dispute settlement mechanism includes administrative proceedings,administrative reconsiderations and petitions. These approaches may solve problems or differences, but they are time consuming and a waste of money for both the police and the parties. This article discusses whether it is possible to establish a speedy solution mechanism to secure justice and increase the efficiency in dispute settlement. It is suggested that a series of mechanism of speedy solution, which based on the current mechanism, is needed for an efficient, economic and convenient settlement of disputes in administration. It is noted that the goal of a speedy settlement of disputes can be reached by reducing the procedures, shortening the time and simplifying the way of filing complaints.
