Research On The Marriage Concept Of Rural Lef-Home Wives

Rural left-home wives are rural married women from 18 years old to 60 years old who look after the aged and children and do farm all by themselves at home due to their husband work out of the hometown in a long-term. The concept of their marriage include spouse-selection notion, marriage ethics notions, child bearing concept, marital duties concept, marital right concept, divorcement concept. The problem of rural left-home women’s concept of marriage is not only the problem of ideological concept, but also a social problem and a people’s livelihood problem. If misconduct the marriage problems, easily will bring great risk to the current rural society.In this paper, research on the concept of rural left-home wives is done by the methods of literature search, questionnaire survey, and depth interview. This research, the investigation object is the rural left-home wives in Huguan county of Shanxi province, and research on spouse-selection notion, marriage ethics notions, child bearing concept, marital duties concept, marital right concept, divorcement concept. The result of this investigation shows that their consciousness of marriage freedom and marriage independent unceasing enhancement and their attitude to childbirth and divorce is more rational. In general, the mainstream of marriage concept of rural left-home wives is positive and optimistic, which is in accordance with Social development and its own development. However, some problem exist, such as utilitarianism enhanced, the attitude towards sex changed leading to part of the rural left-home wives’ marriage concept deviate, Self-consciousness.This paper analysis the incorrect marriage concept from individual, thought, economy, moral adjustment and control by the method of combining internal and external causes. Several reasons were found which include the impact of pluralism idea, the effects of economic utilitarianism, the weakening effect of moral adjustment and control, weakness self-control.In face of problems existed, serval suggestions were put forward to guide the rural left-home wives to establish a correct marriage concept, mainly including to persist guidance by Marxism on marriage, to eliminate the effect of the market economic utilitarianism, to enhance the effect of moral adjustment and control, to improve personal quality.
