Research On Social Security Of The New-generation Migrant Rural Workers

By describing the new-generation migrant rural workers’ concepts, characteristics, life and basing on the context of Chinese binary structure of the urban and rural segmentation system, the paper stress on both theoretical investigation and demonstration analysis and explores the new-generation migrant rural workers’ current situation and problems of their social security, dissects the causes of these problems’ and explores the measure and the countermeasures to solve the new-generation migrant rural workers’ problems of social security.In the first chapter,concepts and theories of the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security are introduced. As time goes on and the economy develops, the migrant rural workers’ generational shift have shown. The new-generation migrant rural workers have become the major parts of the migrant rural workers and comparing with the old generation the new-generation migrant rural workers have more prominent characteristics. So they have more different need to social security. Then this part describes theories of social security, introduces concepts and content of social security, which lay the foundations for the further analysis.The second part summarizes and analyses the new-generation migrant rural workers’ current situation and problems of their social security through empirical studies. Basing on date and cases analysis it explores the new-generation migrant rural workers’ current situation and problems. Compared to old migrant rural workers, more new-generation migrant rural workers are in lower-paid jobs. So most of them cannot afford social insurance. Besides there are other more problems about the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security such as social security’ poor supply, difficulty in transference in different areas messy management and so on.Chapter three investigates the reasons of the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security problems from relevant legislation,systems and the main benefits. Social security laws backward also affect its performance. In systems respects, Chinese binary structure of the urban and rural segmentation system for decades is the primary cause that lead to a backward development of the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security. Moreover, social security systems,land transfer mechanism,the labor employment system and the government--enterprises’ noncooperation also nconstraint the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security development.Finally, the forth part explores the measure and the countermeasures to solve the new-generation migrant rural workers’ problems of social security. We should suit social security legal and systems of the new-generation migrant rural workers’. Beside, we should strengthen management and the supervision of the new-generation migrant rural workers’ social security. At last, the new-generation migrant rural workers themselves also strengthen their education and training, spread social security knowledge to develop their cognitive.
