Now with a rapid development of politics, economy and culture, China has entered a critical period and is facing both opportunities and crisis. Various elements in this soc iety that present "fragmentation" of the evolution of features are in the continuing occur rence of decomposition and integration. Undergoing a booming of city modernization, u rban communities, as the basis grassroots and micro fields, are intensively demanding a comprehensive management. In the academic field of microgovernance of communities,case study has become an important research trend. Therefore, in this paper, through ca se study of the evolution and development of Chengdu’s major administrative system, t he author explored the context and history of urban development, understood system bot tlenecks, and sought for a better urban planning and governance. Furthermore, from the perspective of institutional change, the author tried to build a explanatory framework of how city administration system is evolved from path dependence(underlying reasons) t o path creation(promising reforms), in order to find out the logic that underlies instituti onal changes of urban communities in Chinese local governance. |
