Study On Government Functions In Urban Traffic Management

With continuous development of economic and society, city traffic has become an important symbol of urban development. Good management for the urban traffic could not only improve the traffic to facilitate development of the city, but also helpful for the future development plan. Therefore, countries in the world devote a great deal of effort for the urban traffic management. With city traffic’s growing, the traffic flow and the flow of people is increasing. Undoub tedly, this bring very serious problem to the city traffic management. Urban traffic management needs to be run in perfect urban planning and traffic rules. In this regard, many foreign cities has explored a path to suit for their own development. In this area, most cities of our country needs to be further strengthened.As an important western capital city, the urban traffic management of Xi’an has made some significant achievements. But there are still some problems, it is not an easy work on improving the traffic. From an administrative point of view, government functions cannot be ignored in Xi’an urban traffic management. Government functions plays an important role in urban planning and the traffic rules. So, Xi’an should pay attention to government functions in urban traffic management. This paper focuses on analyze the problems and causes presence of Xi’an urban traffic management, and introduces the models and experience abroad on developing urban traffic management, then, propose solutions to improve the traffic management level of Xi’an city from the perspective of government functions, in order to serve the economic and social development of Xi’an at the maximum degree.
