Uzbekistan got its independence at the major turning point of the world when the domestic economy was almost in crisis with chaotic social ideologies and people felt confused with the future. In order to maximize the fundamental interests of the country, people began to explore the development path in line with their national conditions under the leadership of President of Uzbekistan——Islam Karimov. Since the independence of Uzbekistan in 1991, it began to explore its own path of development. After twenty years of development,Uzbekistan has formed a political system since its dependence, with its own characteristics——President centralization. Recently the 2015 presidential election of Uzbekistan has just concluded, which is noticeable now. What is more, as one of the former Soviet Union countries, Uzbekistan is a developing country just like China, and it is also the moment to go through the heart of the Silk Road, the research of which will help us understand each other, increase cooperation, learn from each other and progress together. The establishment and reform of its political system have been focused on the country’s political stability, drawing on the experience of the Western democracy, combined with their own political development tradition, and relying on the state-controlling, democratic means and charismatic of the regime’s leader to increase the stability and solidarity of the political power, maintain the country under the road of secular development, make a smooth transition and make the social economy back on track. Under the guidance of a full range of diplomacy, Uzbekistan actively improved relations with its neighbors to find a balance among the major powers and create a favorable international environment and good surroundings for the country. All of the above achievements of Uzbekistan have consolidated its position in Central Asia and the international community. But we also should see that Uzbekistan is still in a critical period of self-development currently, the existence of domestic corruption, religious extremism and competing interests of factions, etc, are harmful to the stability and development of the existing political system.Five parts on the political system in Uzbekistan have been discussed: in the first part of the paper the significance of the political system studying in Uzbekistan, research status about it home and abroad as well as the focus, innovations and difficulties of the research are described; in the second part the traditional authoritarian political system, the establishing process and conditions of the political system in Uzbekistan are analyzed; in the third part, the characteristics and the basic framework of the political system in Uzbekistan are summarized and analyzed; in the fourth part the comprehensive effects of development in Uzbekistan are summarized and analyzed; in the fifth part the unfavorable factors influencing the political system’s development in Uzbekistan are summarized and analyzed.
