Research On The Problem Of Migrant Workers Employment Rights And Interests Of Our Country In The Perspective Of Equality

As a special group due to the Chinese national condition, Chinese urban migrant workers play an important role in society’s development and national progress for a long time. The development of urban migrant workers is a mark of social progress. However, they can’t change their station and be a real part of the society in city even when they work there. As the same time, they are reject by the society in city and they can’t enjoy benefits as citizens. They suffer from inequality in the process of their work that is not consonance with mankind’s moral justice, that is abhorrent from the principles of law, that makes it difficult to build a harmonious socialist country, that are against socialist core values which are advocated by our country. In recent years, migrant workers are paid more and more attention by social public. This research of the various rights and interests of migrant workers, that will benefit solving the problems for the party and government, that will help improvement in our legal system, that is helpful for building a harmonious socialist country and keeping social equality and justice.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter one, an opening chapter, puts forward the background, significance, ideas and methods of this research. What’s more, it introduce latest progress and research status of migrant workers in China and abroad. In chapter two, the theory about equality and some concepts related to research are explained. In chapter three, the unequal labor status of migrant workers explained from five respects that are opportunity, treatment and protection of employment, working environment and labor development. Chapter four analyses why migrant workers suffer unequal treatment in labor. In last chapter, by using multidisciplinary knowledge, the following few suggestions are introduced to solve the problem according to the reasons in chapter four. First, society should cast aside outdated thinking and build new equality thinking. Second, the government should improve and perfect management system. Third, society should create more ways for migrant workers to explain their opinions. Fourth, the government should improve and perfect the legal institutions related to rights and interests of migrant workers. Finally, the migrant workers themselves need to learn more knowledge to improve their awareness and skills of rights and interests protection.
