Research On The Problem Of Information Managerment In Yangjiang Public Security Department And Its Countermeasures

Public security information Management level is directly related to the effectiveness of public security in the prevention and control work, exerting great influence upon the civilian’s satisfaction towards the public security agency; to a certain extent, it also reflects the development level of the government information construction and Management. For strengthening the public security information Management with scientific and pragmatic attitude, It is of great importance to improve the capability of the public security agency to perform their duties in line with law under the infomatization circumstance. In the past ten years, the Yangjiang public security bureau invested a large sum of expenditure to promote the informatization construction; however the established information application system have not been fully utilized and the performance thus attained failed to fulfill the given mission. To sum up, the scale and scope of application, the poor maintenance, the limited information sharing facility plus the absence of effective assessment mechanism, jointly resulte in the disproportional repay for the investment. For the better development of Yangjiang public security informatization system construction and Management, this paper will follow the logic as beneath: literature review for the current research achievements home and abroad on public security informationization will offer a comparative explanatory framework, on this basis, the description and analysis of the problems will be pursued by means of the combined use of public Management theory and case studies for the Yangjiang city, finally, several corresponding countermeasures and suggestions will be put forward for addressing the given research questions. To sum up, the construction of public security information Management process should be rooted in improving the information consciousness of the policy officers(especially the leading cadres), strengthening the construction of learning organization, standardizing the construction pattern, reconstructing the informatization evaluation system and facilitating the integration of information and system resources. In a word, this sort of “Intelligence-oriented Policing” approach will be of great value for advancing the sustainable and health development of Yangjiang public security informatization.
