For Marxist philosophy, the most important thing is “to change the world”,which first means to understand and grasp the “reality”. But the understanding and grasping of "reality" is not only limited to the empirical empiricism, but also enslaved to the abstract rationalism. In this case, it leaves a place for the mechanical materialism and rational metaphysics in ontology of Marx’s philosophy. These two kinds of opposite attitudes basically come from a lack of principled highly evaluation on Marxist philosophy, and the evaluation must first deep into its ontological foundation. The ontological revolution started by Marx, not only ends the fate of general philosophy, including Feuerbach’s and Hegel’s philosophy, but also finishes the whole traditional philosophy of metaphysics. Due to the obscuration of the modern philosophy of metaphysics, the so-called “reality” is always difficult to meet with us, and it is exactly Marx that with his strong hands to open up a way to re-understand “reality”.Against western traditional modern metaphysics, ontological revolution of Marx’s philosophy is to dispel the subjectivity philosophy and its result the widespread of subjectivism. It uses the new principle "perceptual activity" to understand people’s activities proposes a new world view under guidance of practice and regards historical materialism as real scientific methodology to understand history and society reality. Hence, it opens up the realistic view of historical materialism. This revolution has saved the reality from being obscured by the metaphysics after the prosperity of German classical philosophy. The obscuration has significance, not only philosophically, but also socially and historically. And its achievement is a key for us to understand the relationship between man and man, man and nature.Choosing "perceptual-objective activity" as principle and "realistic individual" as starting point, Marx launched an ontological revolution with criticism, apart from modern metaphysics. The direct result of this revolution is historical materialism. Its important significance lies in disintegrating the “inherence” of consciousness, thus to truly understand the “reality”. The ontological revolution of Marx’s philosophy takes deep into its ontological foundation as the premise. In addition, it is closely combined with the concept of “reality”. Needless to say, criticism of the ontological foundation of metaphysics and grasp of the concept of real “reality” are measurement scales for Marx’s philosophy revolution.
