Military warehousing management occupies a pivotal position in the military logistics system, which is logistical support for military activities. Military equipment’s maintenance materials as basic protection supplies for military equipment’s are widespread in armies. The author discovery some problems by participating in "Equipment Support Management Information System" project study like different management standards because of relatively independent armies, low efficiency in storage due to complex management process, management confusion owing to uniform coding not in diverse materials, more costs due to no layout in shelves location, not enough in safety alert because of no effective supervision in inventory, which affect the efficiency of logistical supplies to the front line, especially in emergencies and wartime conditions. The paper brings the technology of the internet of things in to military warehouse management, right based on the study about actual requirement in military equipment’s maintained materials warehouse.The paper studies "the internet of things" application in the military warehouse management from two aspects. Firstly, the network related technologies, like two-dimensional code, RFID, PDA devices, sensors, GPS and GIS, video surveillance, network communication are introduced. Its application and develop trend are analyzed domestically and abroad. Secondly, military daily maintained materials and emergency box set materials, and their out of storage processes management are optimized, In the detailed analysis on the objective of the military warehouse management. Requirements model is established with UML language. The system Database is analyzed and designed in details. Warehouse safety monitoring system is studied, including layout settings on monitoring in warehousing temperature and humidity, fire and video surveillance, the application in key cabinet system and access control system. Throughout the design process, materials are unicode, emergency supplies is packed uniformly, choice of devices and application design in RFID is introduced, storage system is designed and developed on the PDA, statistical analysis of warehousing data is designed, eventually military warehouse management system is developed.Above of all, the optimization in out of storage path is carried out, for lack of presence in the system, having been developed. The paper proposes a new storage locations’ layout and encoding, calculation formula of complex distance between storage locations, based on the actual situation of the military warehouse. And then, "distance-load ratio" Evaluation is introduced to improve the traditional C-W algorithm to optimize the out of storage in the military warehouse.
