Power of the public security organ is the key to the building of harmonious society,the construction of a harmonious relationship between police and public is the goal and the foothold of public security work. At present, the task of maintaining social stability is very difficult in our country which is in the midst of the reform. Therefore the challenges for the relationship construction is increasing gradually. In such a context, it is essential to further strengthen the countermeasure discussion and research on the building of a harmonious relationship to increase the people’s public security trust and satisfaction, enhance the enthusiasm of public in public security management, increase police team centripetal force and combat effectiveness, strengthen the abilities of the public security organs in maintaining social order stability. Therefore it has a long-term significance to look on strengthening the relationship construction as an important subject of public security work and harmonious society building.In recent years, Hohhot public security bureau adhere to change ideas, innovate methods, in order to promote the harmonious relationship construction. It implemented a series of measures in maintaining social and political stability, cracking down on illegal and criminal activities, servicing people to improve the people’s sense of security and satisfaction and setting up the good image of the people’s police. Proposed the significance of building a harmonious relationship between police and public in Hohhot. Through investigating the present situation of Hohhot relationship between public and police, it analyzed the influence and restriction relationship between the favorable and unfavorable factors in the profound, put forward the countermeasures and the suggestions on constructing the harmonious relationship between police and public in Hohhot, in order to provide reference for public security organs at all levels to build a harmonious relationship between them.
