Study On The Urban Model Of Providing For The Aged Under The Welfare Pluralistic Perspective

China is now at the high speed developing period. During this period, building a moderately prosperous society is now a most important target for all the Chinese people, as a result, the improvement of life quality is now become the focus of attention. At this moment, our social and economic condition is better and better, and our society is continuously developing, which lead to the pursuit of high life quality. At the same time, the Pluralistic needs have become an inevitable trend. This phenomenon also exists in older age groups. In the new era of better economic conditions and social environment, the aged people are more inclined to pursue high quality life, so their demand for the pension and care is also gradually diversified. Therefore, in the new era, choosing or building a new model of providing for the aged, which can currently improve the old people’s life quality and satisfy their Pluralistic needs, is imperative.In order to coordinating with the developing of the times and looking for ways to solve the current new problems during the developing process of providing for the aged, we start with the Welfare Pluralistic Theory, to analyze the main supplier and target of the model of providing for the aged under the Welfare Pluralistic perspective. So, we can determine the theoretical direction and principle of the selection and construction of the new model of providing for the aged. After that, introduce and analysis some typical model that developed very well in some foreign countries, so that we can fully and deeply learn from the innovative and personalized model of providing for the aged in foreign countries. Based on their experience, we can seek for new ideas about how to build the model of providing for the aged in our city. In order to build a city friendly model, to analysis the existing model of providing for the aged and its new development is necessary. And on the basis of the existing model in our country, plus draw on the advanced experience of foreign countries, two new ideas for the construction of our urban Model of Providing for the Aged, which is the pluralistic home based model and the amalgamate model, have been proposed. The pluralistic home based model means to use the urban communities as a basic place to support diversity old people care project. This model is based on the existing community home care model. Therefore, they can provide more comprehensive and pluralistic service for the aged through the community. The amalgamate model aims to establish a professional platform of care services. It would provide the personal designed care packages for the elderly, adding more autonomy to the providing for the aged. Meanwhile, it can also take advantage of the market mechanism to improve the quality of the service and product. Thus, it is an innovated and personalized model with high quality.
