Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Foreign Affairs In Tongling City Of Anhui Province

Tongling is located in the central and southern part of Anhui province. It is a burgeoning industrial and trade port city along the Yangtze River. Its 3,000-year copper extracting and smelting history brought here profound cultural and solid industrial foundation. Since the reform and opening policy, especially in response to and implementation of the national policy of "transformation of resource-dependent cities", Tongling city government gives more emphasis on the foreign communication and cooperation, and tries to find more opportunities for the city transformation. As a part of government’s public administration, the foreign affairs department of Tongling plays a positive role and makes a contribution to the local economic and social development. However, with the development of international economic and the domestic reform and opening up, the connotation of Tongling’s foreign affairs has also changed profoundly. Traditional foreign affairs management mechanism and the system has obviously cannot adapt to the needs of the development of times. In this paper, according to the actual current situation of development of Tongling foreign affairs work in recent years and the requirements of the new times, it put forward advices and suggestions on the foreign affairs administration pattern and mechanism on the basis of current situation.The article consists introduction and three chapters. The first chapter depicts the overview of Tongling foreign affairs, including its history and achievements. The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the existing problems. The last chapter presents the suggestions of improvement of Tongling foreign affairs administration.
