Nowdays, with the native economic and international competitives development, the migrant workers became an important human resources to promote the economic transofrmation and upgarte the indusrial modernization. The gorvormant have issued a series of policies to guide the migrant workers to get a job. Since the State Council proclaim the concept of "new generation migrant workers",The new generation migrant workers as the principal part of the whole migrant workers has aroused widespread concern. The new generation migrant workers grew up in a totally different environment compare with their parents, and thus in many aspects they show group differences. Therefore investigate on new generation migrant workers career behavior is significant for guiding them in career.This study uses data of 167 new generation migrant workers, data collected by questionnaires and interviews.The empirical study is based on rational choice theory and theory of human job matching; migrants’ population characteristics, human capital and social capital are included in the analysis to derive the factors’influence on migrants’job choosing behavior.The study finds that population characteristics like age, sex and marital status haveimpacton new generation migrant workerscareer choice behavior. Education level, training status, computer skills, mandarin level, and vocational qualification certificate are significant human capital factors that influence career choice behavior.Among social capital factors, being with spouse when working in the city and number of friends in other city will affect the choice of job.As shown in the results, it is suggested thatincreaseeducation level of rural population, and provide equalized city public service for migrant workers are significant policies that could increase the new generation migrant workers’career status in city.
