Traditional method of ideological and political education always be useless with the improvement of social-life-quality and the progress of science and technology. Economic globalization bring the cultural globalization, it also make some difficult to the working of ideological and political education. Such a situation might hind the development of the socialist modernization. According to the requirement of ideological and political education,mass media has the function that to share the news of ideological and political education.Mass media have several functions of ideological and political education. First of all,mass media has social restraint through spreading social regulation and criticizing social villainy. Second, mass media can motivate people to make the world better through mobilizing people’s initiative. Third, with the great timeliness and large spreading, mass media could leading the outside public opinion. Last, mass media can make people to interact.Because of network’s development and insufficient supervision, mass media also have some negative problem. I gave four points to solve those problems. First of all, enhancing the quality of subject. As to the subject of ideological and political education, mass media has the mission to make the society better. Second point, making people easier to accept information.Third point, guiding the environment of public opinion. It make the work of ideological and political education better. Last point, giving national culture to mass media. Only through this way,subject of ideological and political education could achieve goals.
